Meet Michelle
Reset Room opened its doors in 2023 and I haven’t looked back! Here’s my story and how I ended up here…….
I completed a Sports Science degree back in 2008 at Southampton University and then
‘fell into a couple of jobs’. In 2014 I started a corporate film production company after working in the industry with a fellow colleague. I enjoyed running my own business and the freedom that came with that and I knew then I would be unlikely to ever head back into being an employee. I also knew my heart wasn’t in it as film production wasn’t my passion and I wanted to do something more ‘hands on’.
I got married in September 2015 to my now husband Neil and we quickly decided that starting a family as soon as possible was what we both wanted. The ‘as soon as possible’ bit definitely wasn’t on the cards. A diagnosis of mild pcos and thin endometrial lining sent us into the world of infertility. Between the years of 2015-2023 we had 7 embryo transfers from 4 egg collections across 3 fertility clinics. We had 5 pregnancies in total with the 5th pregnancy in 2023 being our boy Archie that was born in January 2024 (on my Birthday!) The toll of infertility on my body and my brain was a
lot to deal with and this is where I found alternative therapies and holistic treatments were the glue that kept me together. I tried pretty much every therapy going and during these treatments I realised that I wanted to go back to my original plan and do a job to ‘help people’. In 2021 I had my first lymphatic drainage session after hearing great things. I instantly felt less bloated from all the IVF meds, the brain fog lifted and I felt
lighter and brighter. I quite quickly realised this was something that I would love to do myself. I took advice from a fantastic mentor on what I would need to do to get all the correct training and my story began….
I completed all of my initial training in 2022 giving me Internationally recognised
massage and anatomy and physiology qualifications and then my various MLD training
qualifications.

Fast forward to the present day and I absolutely LOVE my business. I love the people I
meet, the clients that have become friends, the conversations had in my safe space and
the absolute belly laughs from the stories shared. I love how over 90% of my clients
come to me regularly because what I do makes them feel better. I treat people for
anything and everything and sometimes it is just to see what all the fuss is about. Given
my own story, I have a good knowledge of hormones and cycles so see lots of people
on their own fertility journey, peri menopause and menopausal. My mum has also
beaten breast cancer 3 times so my post cancer clients hold a special place in my heart
and I love how drainage massively improves their overall health after such a rough ride.
I like to keep up to date with the industry and constantly attending masterclasses, online
webinars and listening to podcasts to keep my knowledge up to date and from a variety
of industry specialists. I am currently looking into expanding my post operative work to
cover more advanced scar therapy techniques and machines. I am also hoping to study
to become a menopause practitioner.
